Terms and Conditions
Before our technician begins any work, please take a moment to carefully review this Agreement. By allowing our technician to proceed with service, you acknowledge your full acceptance of the terms outlined below. These policies are designed to ensure transparency, efficiency, and a positive experience with ARS Appliance Repair Jacksonville.
APPOINTMENTS
Appointments are scheduled between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with a 3-hour service window assigned the day before your appointment. To confirm your time slot, please reply either by email or phone. There is no need to do both.
Our scheduling system automatically assigns the most efficient time based on technician proximity. Appointment times are not manually selected.
Failure to confirm your appointment may result in loss of your reserved time. For part installation appointments, scheduling occurs once parts arrive.
We appreciate your cooperation in following these scheduling policies so we can serve all Jacksonville customers efficiently.
SERVICE CALL FEE
A $120 + tax service call fee applies when you schedule a visit with one of our technicians. This fee covers:
- Travel and Diagnostic Time: The technician’s time traveling to your location and performing an initial inspection.
- Non-Refundable Fee: Once collected, this fee cannot be refunded.
The entire $120 is credited toward your repair cost if you move forward with the service. Think of it as a down payment, not an extra charge.
If the issue is due to non-appliance factors such as installation problems, plumbing, electrical issues, or duct obstructions, the service call fee still applies. Please ensure adequate parking access, as service may be canceled if parking is unavailable or restricted.
ESTIMATES
All estimates are valid for 7 days from issuance. Any payment made toward a deposit, parts, or labor constitutes full acceptance of the provided estimate and all Terms and Conditions contained herein.
PAYMENT
Payment is due upon completion of service. Late payments accrue a 1.5% monthly fee or the maximum allowed by law, whichever is lower. Customers are responsible for any collection or legal fees if necessary.
Every appliance repair we complete is backed by a commitment to quality and accountability. At ARS Appliance Repair Jacksonville, we stand behind our work with a 90-Day Limited Warranty on all labour and workmanship, and a 30-Day Warranty on all replacement parts. When you choose our team, you get more than just a quick fix, you get reliable workmanship and continued support after the service is complete.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations must be made at least 12 hours before your scheduled appointment. Late cancellations, no-shows, or unreachable customers will be charged a $60 fee. If you must cancel, please call or email us as soon as possible so we can accommodate other Jacksonville-area customers.
REPAIR COST
Repair costs are based on the complexity and type of repair, not the duration of the visit. This ensures pricing reflects the expertise, parts, and precision required, not the time spent.
LIABILITY RELEASE
By requesting service, you agree to release ARS Appliance Repair Jacksonville and its affiliates from any liability arising from appliance repair work. This release ensures a clear understanding of the limits of responsibility while allowing our technicians to perform services safely and efficiently.
SERVICE SPECIALIZATION
At ARS Appliance Repair Jacksonville, we specialize in repairs, not replacements.
- Our technicians diagnose and repair most major appliance types.
- If parts are needed, we order and install them once received.
- We do not manufacture parts, so delivery times depend on suppliers.
- For warranty jobs, we act as third-party service providers, not the warranty company itself.
Our expertise lies in restoring functionality, not replacing entire units.
CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Someone 18 years or older must be present during service.
- Payment must be available upon completion. We do not accept checks or e-transfers.
- The appliance must be fully accessible and cleared for service. If the washer and dryer are stacked, please unstack them in advance.
- Technicians are not responsible for moving heavy or stacked units. If assistance is requested, liability is waived.
- Please avoid smoking near technicians during service.
If an appliance is not installed to the manufacturer’s standards, we cannot proceed with service and the service call fee is not refundable.
INSTALLATION CHARGE
Our installation charge includes standard appliance removal and setup without disturbing fixtures or structural elements. It does not include modifications to gas, water, ventilation, or electrical lines, or any compliance verification.
Extra charges apply if:
- Two technicians are required, for example stacked units.
- The installation cannot proceed due to site conditions.
Materials such as vent hoses, water lines, gas lines, hoses, and fittings are billed separately.
PARTS
We use only original or equivalent-quality parts. If a part we install fails during its warranty period, we cover the cost of the replacement part. Shipping and handling fees are the customer’s responsibility.
Parts purchased separately have a 15-day money-back guarantee. After 15 days, a 25% restocking fee applies. Shipping charges are non-refundable. Electrical or special-order parts cannot be returned.
Timeframes for obtaining parts depend on the manufacturer or supplier. Once parts arrive, we schedule promptly and complete the repair.
Important: If parts have been ordered and you cancel, the restocking fee still applies.
RECOMMENDATIONS
We provide professional recommendations to assist your decisions. ARS is not responsible for any work performed by third parties based on those recommendations.
COMPLETED REPAIR
A repair is deemed complete once the technician verifies proper function and marks it as repair completed. Payment in full indicates customer acknowledgment and satisfaction with the completed repair. No refunds are available after completion.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
ARS Appliance Repair Jacksonville’s liability is limited to the total amount paid for service. Neither party is liable for special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages.
WARRANTY / EXTENDED WARRANTY / SERVICE CONTRACT
When service is performed under a manufacturer warranty, extended warranty, or service agreement, payment is expected from that provider. If the provider does not cover any portion of the repair due to plan limitations, the customer is responsible for the balance and agrees to remit payment within 10 days. Customers are responsible for the reasonable cost of collection, including attorney fees, if applicable.
DAMAGE WAIVERS
- Moving Appliances: If you ask the technician to move an appliance, ARS is not responsible for any resulting damage.
- Water Leaks: We are not liable for leakage or flooding related to building plumbing systems.
- Defective Cooling: We are not liable for the malfunction itself in cases of defective cooling.
- Glass Cooktops: When lifting a glass cooktop is necessary, ARS is not responsible for breakage.
REFUSAL OF SERVICE
We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion in cases of disrespectful, unsafe, or disruptive behavior. If service is refused due to customer conduct, the standard service call fee may apply.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
- Call Times: Service windows are approximate and depend on technician location and availability.
- Credit Card Hold: A $1 temporary authorization may appear and is automatically released within 3 days.
- Credit Card Booking: A valid card is required to schedule service.
- Two Technicians: If two technicians confirm the same diagnosis, an NFF (No Fault Found) fee applies.
- Same-Day Service: Offered when available.
- Parking Surcharge: A $24 surcharge may apply in areas with difficult parking, such as downtown Jacksonville and nearby urban districts.
